Zaza Helen (Lansford) Wolfe age 91 of Linn passed from her earthly home to her heavenly reward on Monday, October 19, 2009.
Zaza was born in Judge on February 6, 1918, the oldest child of August Franklin and Annie (Miller) Lansford.
On October 3, 1936 she was united in marriage to John Henry Wolfe. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1982.
Zaza lived her entire life in the Judge area where she and John raised six children. She attended the Victor and Pointers Creek one-room schoolhouses and was a life-long active member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and always helped with vacation bible school. Zaza lived her faith everyday in every way. She was a happy woman whose warm smile and kind words won her many friends, including all who grew to love her in her last two years of life at the Autumn Meadows Nursing Home.
Zaza was a hard working farmwife who spent many, many hours helping her husband in the fields and tilling the soil of her large and bountiful garden. She was also a splendid cook and baker. Not only did she provide her family with "made-from-scratch" meals everyday, she always brought more than her share of food (fried chicken, sliced tomatoes, cakes, pies, cobblers and cookies) to church dinners and neighborhood gatherings. After her children were raised she shared her cooking and baking expertise by working at the Cedar Grove CafAC. and 89 Steak House. Zaza also spent a few years working at Linn Manufacturing.
Survivors include, four sons; Jerry and his wife Cartie Wolfe of Linn, Terry and his wife Irene Wolfe of Linn, Perry and his wife Mary Wolfe of Lebanon and Kary and his wife Kathy Wolfe of Linn, one daughter; Mary Ann Burns and her husband Jim of Linn, a daughter-in-law; Terri Belle Wolfe of Linn; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and one brother, Raymond and his wife Beuna Lansford of Columbia.
