Wilma Lois Laaker, age 97 of Linn, MO. passed away December 20, 2008 at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn, Mo.
She was born on June 9, 1911 to the late Wiley J. and Melcena May (Hurst) White in Mint Hill, MO.
Wilma attended the Georgetown-Flat Rock School. On July 20, 1935 she was united in marriage to the late Arthur Henry Laaker in Union, Mo.
She and her husband owned and operated the Three Rivers Lodge near Camdenton for many years and the Oaks Tavern near Bagnell Dam for several years. She lived at Linn Creek for over 50 years before moving back to Osage County in 1995.
Wilma is survived by one brother-in-law Herbert Budnik of Chamois and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Paulsmeyer and Verda Oline Budnik; two brothers, Wiley "Wasdin" White and Paul "Kermit" White.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 at Morton Chapel with Doyle "Buddy" Delong officiating.
Interment will be at the Stone Church Cemetery near Gerald, Mo.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer's Special Care Unit at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility.
