William Lawrence “Willie” Haslag, age 69 of Bonnots Mill, passed away December 4, 2019, at Westphalia Hills.
Willie was born September 14, 1950, in Bonnots Mill, a son to the late Lawrence A. and Elizabeth H. (Meyer) Haslag.
Willie was a 1969 graduate of Fatima High School.
Willie was employed for over 40 years at Von Hoffman Press/RR Donnelley in Jefferson City.
He worked his way to becoming a Pre-Press Lead person.
He was a member of St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill, Osage County Historical Society, and the Bonnots Mill Community Betterment Association.
Willie enjoyed traveling and road trips, flowers, bowling, computer and other electronic gadgets, boating on the Osage River, and photography. He especially enjoyed family gatherings on holidays but his favorite was hosting Thanksgiving with his St. Louis cousins and decorating his house for Christmas.
Willie is survived by: two brothers, Richard “Dick” Haslag of the State of California and Jerry (Carol) Haslag of Bonnots Mill; one sister, Georgiann Haslag-Wright of Bonnots Mill; one nephew, Joshua (Stacey) Haslag of Bonnots Mill; one niece, Catherine Haslag of the State of Minnesota; and a grand nephew, Colin Haslag of Bonnots Mill.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Wright.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Callistus C. Okoroji as the celebrant. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Bonnots Mill Methodist Church Restoration which is a project of the Bonnots Mill Community Betterment Association or St. Louis of France Church Restoration Fund.
