Wilfred J. “Willie” Dudenhoeffer, age 79 of Bonnots Mill, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Willie was born on March 17, 1937, a son and only child to the late Frank and Mary (Linnenbrink) Dudenhoeffer of Bonnots Mill.
He attended the Cadet Creek School and St. Louis of France School in Bonnots Mill.
On July 22, 1961, he was united in marriage to Jeanie (Haslag) Dudenhoeffer in Loose Creek who survives at the home.
Willie was a member of St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill.
Willie was a farmer and later employed by Chesebrough-Pond’s in Jefferson City. After retirement, he enjoyed cutting lawns for Steve’s Lawn Care. He enjoyed gardening and playing his guitar, and was a member of many area bands. He and Jeanie loved traveling to Branson and attending the many country music shows there.
Besides his loving wife of 55 years, Willie is survived by: a son, Steve Dudenhoeffer of Bonnots Mill; a daughter, Carol (Karl) Davenport of Wardsville; four grandchildren, Amy (Chris) Wilbers of Loose Creek, Christa (Bear) Thoenen of Frankenstein, Jacob (Brittanie) Dudenhoeffer of Loose Creek, and Courtney (Garrett) Buschjost of Wardsville; five great grandchildren, Addyson, Maci, and Kynlee Wilbers and Braden and Jacie Thoenen. Baby Thoenen is expected to arrive any day.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017, at St. Louis of France Catholic Church in Bonnots Mill. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Louis Nelen as the celebrant. Private family interment will be held at a later date
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy are suggested to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or St. Louis of France Parish Cemetery Fund.
