Wilda Foster Gream, of Linn, passed away peacefully on her 95th birthday, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City.
Wilda was born on February 8, 1929, in Kenton, Tennessee a daughter to the late John Thomas Farris, Jr., and Lessie Lee (Reed) Farris.
On January 25, 1945, she was united in marriage to Joe W. Foster in Corinth, Mississippi. Joe preceded her in death on May 20, 1981. Then on June 19, 1984, she was united in marriage to Marvin Clayton Gream, Sr. in Rives, Missouri. Clayton preceded her in death on June 11, 2004.
Wilda was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, and teaching Sunday School. Teaching Sunday School was her greatest joy.
Wilda is survived by her five children, Shirley (Rodney) Turner of Nixa, Kenny Foster (Patty) of Loose Creek, Wilma (Kenny) Fick of Linn, Linda (Keith) Huether of Columbia, and Terry Foster of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Fay Farris of Milan, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren, Travis (Melissa) Turner, Leanne (Luther) McCoy, Jamey Turner, Karin (Jeremy) Haselhorst, Jason (Christin) Huether, Jodie (Forest) Nenninger, Kelly (Sarah) Fick, Taylor (Brandon) Luebbering, Casey Foster, Kerry Foster, and Kyle Foster; 7 great grandchildren, Maggie Turner, Peyton Harrell, Lily Turner, Violet Turner, Jackson Haselhorst, Isaac Haselhorst, Madison Huether, Charlie Fick, Benjamin Fick, and Wells Nenninger; and three great-great grandchildren, Asher, Braxton, and Camree Zellers.
In addition to her parents and spouses, Wilda was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Dankenbring, and a son-in-law, Nolan Dankenbring.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Perry Wolfe and Chaplain Russ Pflasterer officiating. Interment will be in the Linn Public Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice Compassus or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
