Verda Fay Eastham

Verda Fay Eastham, age 97 of Linn, MO passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the Phelps County Regional Hospital in Rolla.

She was born October 8, 1910 in Osage County, Mo. to the late Thomas and Mary (Miller) Dowler.

Fay graduated high school in Linn and taught school in Osage County for a few years. She then attended Beauty School and worked in that profession for a short time.

On August 1, 1936 she was united in marriage to Ray Eastham in Waterloo, Ill. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1978.

Fay and her husband owned and operated the Triangle Restaurant in Brazito for a number of years until their retirement.

Survivors include one sister, Mae Lunt of Warwick, Rhode Island, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Dowler and an infant brother

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Useful Cemetery near Linn.
