Van B. Haviland, age 95 of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, at Summit Villa in Holts Summit, Missouri.
Van was born October 24, 1922, in St. Louis, a daughter to the late Charles and Van (Walton) Buschart.
Van attended Normandy High School in St. Louis, MO and attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO.
On May 1, 1942, she was united in marriage to Warren E. Haviland in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2002.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City.
Van’s life was dedicated to caring for and service to others.
She is survived by: two sons, Warren E. Haviland, Jr. of Cardiff, CA and Mark J. Haviland of Loose Creek, MO; five grandchildren, Warren Evan Haviland of Homewood, CA, Joy F. Haviland of Oakland, CA, Alice Andrews of Jefferson City, MO, Rebecca Cruz of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kathryn Haviland of Buena Vista, CO; and three great grandchildren, Maya and Xavier Andrews of Jefferson City, MO and Camila Haviland-Nemes of Oakland, CA.
In addition to her parents and spouse, Van was preceded in death by: a son, Charles R. “Randy” Haviland; a daughter, Vanette “Pixie” Haviland; and a grandson, Donald B. “D.J.” Reed.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
