Thomas "Mike" Michael Fowler

Thomas “Mike” Michael Fowler, age 63 of Linn, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Mike was born July 5, 1960, in Warm Springs, GA, a son to the late Thomas and Nelly (Bridges) Fowler.

Mike was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson City High School and later attended Nichols Career Center.

On June 22, 2002, he was united in marriage to Melody R. Bexten in Westphalia. She survives at their home.

Mike worked for Blackwells Garage, Ewers Tires, and J & M Automotive before taking a job driving over the road trucks for three years. He then was employed with Wiese Planning and Engineering and most recently for Scholastic.

Mike was a “big” Facebook “junkie”. He loved to post or re-post jokes to make people laugh.

In addition to his spouse of 21 years, Mike is survived by, two daughters, Shara Beuchter and Jessica (Derek) Monroe both of Jefferson City, one son, Jonathan Fowler of Jefferson City, his siblings, Larry (Lori) Fowler of Osage Beach and Lisa Fowler of Holts Summit, mother-in-law, Betsy (Clem) Groner of Westphalia, brother-in-law Kevin (Glenda) Bexten of Linn, sisters-in-law, Sandy (Tom) Ewen of the state of Illinois and Kim (Darien) Clough of Linn as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews and dear friends who were very special to him.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his father-in-law Stephen Bexten and a brother-in-law William Bexten.

A celebration of Mike’s life for friends and family will be held at a later date.
