Suzannah "Suzie" Lynn Heyer

Suzannah “Suzie” Lynn (Scheppers) Heyer, age 47, of Rolla, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Suzie was born March 5, 1975, in Jefferson City, a daughter to Lawrence “Larry” and Paula (McBride) Scheppers of Linn.

She attended Linn RII and received her nursing degree from Nichols Career Center in 2005. 

On July 21, 2009, she was united in marriage to Wesley Heyer in Linn.  He survives at their home.

Suzie worked as an LPN at various nursing homes in Rolla and Linn. She was employed at Quaker Windows in Freeburg for three years. 

Suzie approached life with a free and caring spirit.  She loved cooking delicious meals for her family and crocheting beautiful afghans for them. Suzie loved keeping up with Facebook and texting and laughing with friends.  She loved finding bargains at flea markets, going fishing with her brothers and her husband and being “the one” that caught the most. Suzie loved spoiling her dogs and cats. She also enjoyed planting and looking at her flowers. We will greatly miss her laughter, smile and hugs.

In addition to her parents and spouse of 12 years, Suzie is survived by: two sons, Trenton Adams of Rolla and Corey Porting and two granddaughters of Jefferson City; two brothers, Darren Scheppers and Daryl Scheppers both of Linn; her mother-in-law, Connie Heyer of St. James; along with many extended family and friends.  

Suzie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Roy Heyer. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Morton Chapel in Linn.  Funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Bartle officiating. 

Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
