Ruth Ann Rudroff, age 62 of Linn, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center.
Ruth was born on December 26, 1957, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Raymond and Eveline (Layne) Bockting-Schowengerdt.
She was a 1976 graduate of Chamois High School and a graduate of Lincoln University with an LPN degree.
She was united in marriage on October 25, 1985, to Terry Rudroff in Brazito. He survives of the home.
Ruth was employed at Frene Valley Nursing Home in Hermann and was a Osage County Health Nurse. She also owned/operated Ruth Ann’s Department Store and Rudroff ISL as well as being the Contract Fee Agent for the Department of Revenue.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain.
Ruth enjoyed collecting old cars, quilting, cooking for her family and large gatherings, traveling, and family vacations. She was an avid Bob Seger fan. Ruth loved her dogs, being a farmer’s wife, a foster parent and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her spouse of 34 years, Ruth is survived by: three sons, Layne Rudroff and his wife Megan, Trey Rudroff and his wife Katie, and Daniel Rudroff, all of Rich Fountain; two daughters, Roxanne Mebruer and her husband Eric of Rich Fountain and Kylia Rudroff of Linn; eleven grandchildren, Ridley and Greta Rudroff, Alexis, Addie, Ava and Anna Rudroff, Darrien, Jeffrey, and Cheyenne Mebruer, Blaise and Kirra Deatsch; five brothers, Bill Bockting and his wife Betty of Hermann, Allen Bockting of San Dimas, CA, David Bockting and special friend, Sharon Kase of New Haven, Steve Bockting and his wife Donna of Hermann, and Robert Schowengerdt and his wife Teresa of Morrison; two sisters, Nancy Dillahunt and her husband Steve of Pershing and Janet Bartock and her husband Arvol of Sedalia; along with many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by: one brother, Darryl Bockting and his wife Clara and her father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Gladys Rudroff.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery in Rich Fountain.
