Ruth Irvin

Ruth Irvin, age 87, of Filderstadt, Germany and formally of Linn, passed away Friday October 3, 2014, in Germany.

Ruth was born January 23, 1927 in Plattenhart, Germany.

Ruth was united in marriage to Louis Irvin. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Ruth worked for the Linn R-2 School District for many years until her retirement in 2007, at which time she moved back to Germany.

Ruth loved to travel back and forth between Linn and Germany after she moved back to Filderstadt. She always enjoyed keeping in touch with everyone in both countries.

Ruth is survived by: one grandson Lonnie Irvin and his wife Lexie of Jefferson City; two great grandchildren, Brookelynn and Zachari Irvin, whom she loved to call and talk to. Also surviving is one niece Judy Beers, of Linn; one nephew Benny Kramer and his wife Sandy of Linn and many great nieces and nephews in Missouri and Germany.

In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by one daughter Monica Malone in 2007.

Funeral services will be held in Germany. Local services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to University Woman's and Children's Hospital NICU in Columbia Missouri.
