Rosella F. Maasen

Rosella F. Maasen, age 85 of Bonnots Mill, Mo. passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at
St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

She was born on January 31, 1924 a daughter to the late Jule and Cora (Meamber) Perriguey. Rosella attended school in Bonnots Mill.

On October 3, 1942 she was united in marriage to Jerome "Jerry" Maasen in Bonnots Mill. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2008.

Rosella was employed as a clerk at the Missouri State Department of Health until her retirement in 1989. She enjoyed reading and gardening and was a member of the Bonnots Mill Betterment Association.

She was a member of the St. Louis of France Church in Bonnots Mill most of her life and attended St. Martin of Tours Church in St. Martins for a short time before moving to a nursing facility in Jefferson City.

Rosella is survived by: one son, Robert R. Maasen of Bonnots Mill; four daughters, Mary Ruth Backes and her husband Theon of Wilmington, NC., Catherine Wolters and her husband Don of Jefferson City, Helen Kliethermes and her husband Steve of St. Martins and Rosemary Mantle of Nixa; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by: two half brothers, Dorsey and William Perriguey and two half sisters, Viola Crane and Laura Perry.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the St. Louis of France Church in Bonnots Mill.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at the St. Louis of France Church with Fr. George Kramer, Rev. Msgr. Gregory Higley and Deacon Steve Kliethermes officiating. Interment will follow at St. Louis Church Cemetery.
