Roscoe A. Roy

Roscoe A. Roy, age 78, of Linn, Missouri, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Good Friday, April 7, 2023, at Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem, Missouri.

Roscoe was born on November 12, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky a son to the late Warren A. “Whitey” Roy and Margaret Sue (Borland) Roy.

Roscoe honorably served his country in the United States Navy on the USS Farragut from 1963 to 1967.

On September 28, 1968, he was united in marriage in Louisville, Kentucky to Phyllis A. Dietrich, who preceded him in death on February 13, 2023.

He was a retired UAW employee from the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant.  He enjoyed playing golf, talking about golf, and reminiscing about his golf game.  He loved his wife and children.

He is survived by his two sisters; Shirley Knowland and Sandra (Henry) Glass, four children; Christopher (Holly) Roy, Jeffrey Roy, Mimi (Christopher) Roy, and Michael Roy, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He would rather you play a round of golf than send expressions of sympathy, however if you wish, donations going towards the eradication of Alzheimer’s and Dementia would be appreciated.
