Rosaline "Rose" C. (Kloeppel) Luebbert, age 92 of Holts Summit, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Westphalia Hills.
Rose was born August 20, 1921, in Freeburg, a daughter to the late Conrad and Dora (Bauer) Kloeppel.
Rose attended school in Freeburg.
On July 11, 1942, she was united in marriage to Lawrence H. Luebbert at Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg. Lawrence preceded her in death on March 17, 1992.
Rose was a lifelong area resident. She worked at Oberman Pants Factory for ten years. Then Rose was the owner and operator of Linn Cleaners and Jefferson Cleaners for 17 years before retirement.
Rose was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain, 20 year member of St. Ann's Quilting Circle, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Freeburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Rose enjoyed quilting, sewing, embroidering, and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Rose is survived and lovingly remembered by: three sons, Lawrence "Larry" Luebbert, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Iowa City, IA, Donald Luebbert of Linn, and Roger Luebbert and his wife Carla of California; two daughters, Carolyn Weider of Holts Summit and Jo Ann LaRusso and her husband Tony of The Villages, Florida; two sisters, Catherine Reed of Jefferson City and Evelyn Mueller of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Elmer Kloeppel of Macks Creek; 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren as well many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents and spouse, Rose was preceded in death by: three brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Fr. Augustine Okoli as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Disabled American Veterans.
