Roger Gail Gerloff

Roger G. Gerloff, age 72 of Chamois, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City surrounded by his loving family.

Roger was born on April 24, 1951, in Chamois, a son to the late Martin and Barbara (Crider) Gerloff.

He attended school in Chamois.    

On June 14, 1969, Roger was united in marriage to Shirley Sieg at the First Baptist Church in Chamois.  She survives of the home.

Before his retirement in 2012, Roger was employed at ABB as a Coil Winder.

Roger was a member of the Chamois First Baptist Church and the Mint Hill Shooters for many years. 

He was an avid arrowhead hunter and collector, enjoyed playing the guitar, deer hunting, and fishing. 

Roger enjoyed cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Mizzou Tigers.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. 

In addition to his spouse of 54 years, Roger is survived by: one daughter, Geneva (Travis) Dial of Wardsville; two sons, Roger (Heather Stafford) Gerloff, Jr. of Westphalia and Martin “Marty” (Savannah) Gerloff of Chamois; one sister, Dorothalen Mowery of Ellisville; eight grandchildren, Lindsey (Jared) Allen, Levi (Payton), Logan (Kendra), Austin, Madeline, Grayson, Sadie, and Brooks; and three great grandchildren, Watson, Maeva, and Ari; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: three brothers, Raymond, Leo, and Dorsia Gerloff; six sisters, Helen Murphy, Amondalene Whithaus, Sharon Pemberton, Brenda Brandt, Erlene Trachsel, and Josephine Witthaus.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Morton Chapel in Chamois.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. John Spurlock officiating.    

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Roger Gerloff family.
