Robert L. "Bob" Patton, age 81 of Linn passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Bob was born July 16, 1929, in Jefferson City the only child of the late Roy and Lula (Warner) Patton.

Bob was a 1947 graduate of Hermann High School and played on the basketball team that went to the state playoffs that year. Bob was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Linn Masonic Lodge # 326 A.F. & A.M. and V.F.W Post #4756 in Linn.

On September 30, 1950, Bob was united in marriage to Margaret "Bea" Sallaz. She survives of the home. They moved to Linn from Hermann in 1960.

Bob was employed as a dispatcher for Ameren UE, retiring in 1989 after working there for over 40 years.

Bob was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church in Linn. He was a Linn High School Booster Club member and an avid sports fan. He enjoyed hunting and working around the yard.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by: two daughters, Theresa Dudenhoeffer and her husband Russell of Linn, and Linda Linnenbrink and her husband Donald of Linn; four grandchildren, Brett Dudenhoeffer, Cody Dudenhoeffer, Tyler Rademann and his fiancAC. Amanda Muenks, Megan Rademann; four step grandchildren, Beth Nivens and her husband Ryan, Elisha Busby and her husband Doug, and Erin Berhorst and her husband Ben; 8 step great grandchildren, as well as three brother-in-laws, Orwine Fredrick, George Epple and Donald Schulte all of Hermann.

In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by: one son-in-law, Gary Rademann, and three sister-in-laws, Donna Fredrick, Una Epple and Judy Schulte.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2010, at Morton Chapel in Linn. There will be a Masonic service at 7:45 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday July 31, 2010, at the St. John's United Methodist Church in Linn with Rev. John Swatosh officiating. Military honors will follow the services. Interment will be in the Hermann City Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
