Robert "Bob" E. Miller

Robert “Bob” E. Miller, age 82, of Linn, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City surrounded by his family.

Bob was born on August 16, 1938, in Council Bluff, Iowa a son to the late Quentin Miller and Mayme (Murray) Baumgartner. 

Bob attended school in Centertown.

On October 17, 1959, Bob was united in marriage to Betty Tyree in Bland.  Betty survives at their home.

Bob retired from Von Hoffman Press in Jefferson City after 47 years.

Bob was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge and was a former member to Teamsters Local 833.

Bob loved planting his tomato garden, visiting with friends at Casper Conoco and 4 J’s Tire, spending time with his family and enjoying his favorite foods, cooked ham with pineapple and chocolate cream pie. 

In addition to his wife of sixty-one years, Bob is survived by: two sons, Kenny Miller and his wife Michelle of Frankenstein and Randy Miller and his wife Loretta of Linn; six grandchildren, Kyle (Chelsie) Miller, Chad (Chrissy) Miller, Robbie Miller and Nicholas Miller; six great grandchildren, Jade, Jude, Colten, Carson, Cooper, Cisalee and one on the way; one aunt, Rosetta Horne of Centertown; three brothers-in-law, Elmer (Jackie) Tyree of Linn, Herbert Tyree of Linn and Ronnie (Darlene) Tyree of Chamois; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. 

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his stepfather, Anthony “Tony” Baumgartner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Ruby (Monroe) Tyree; two sisters-in-law, Vera Tyree and Jo Ann Tyree, along with many aunts and uncles. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge with funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Perry Wolfe officiating.  Interment will follow at Solid Rock Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Family of Robert “Bob” E. Miller.
