Raymond Lee Mitchell, 75 of Vichy, Mo passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
Ray was born January 23, 1933 in St. Charles, MO to the late Eugene and Mary Zerjav Mitchell.
On November 10, 1951 Ray was united in marriage to Joy L. Jordan in Reno, NV. She survives of the home in Vichy.
Ray was a vetrean of the United States Air Force and served in the Koren Conflict. He also worked as a procurment oficer for the United States Civil Service for 29 years.
He enjoyed fishing including deep sea fishing, hunting, horses, farming and golf. He was also a memeber of the Masons.
In addition to Ray's wife he is survived by one daughter, Kimberlie Knutson and her daughter, Keely Knutson and Kimberlie's companion Rick Parkhurst of Vichy, two brothers, William Mitchell of Waterloo, IL and Robert Mitchell of Phoenix, AZ. Three sisters, Shirley Johnson of Bonne Terre, MO, Judy Lucas of Long Beach, CA and Mary Reid of Merced, CA, one step-son, Kirk and his wife Wanda Jones of Waynesville, Mo as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Lee Mitchell II in 1993 and 3 brothers.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Morton Chapel in Linn.
Burial will be at a later date at the Plainsburg Cemetery in Plainsburg, CA
Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
