Patricia Louise Muenks

Patricia "Pat" L. Muenks, age 80 of Loose Creek, Mo passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008 at her residence.

She was born May 25, 1928 in Jefferson City to the late John and Georgia (Peters) Oidtman.

She graduated from Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek in 1946.

On September 7, 1949 she married Joseph Mathias Muenks in Loose Creek. He preceded her in death on February 24, 1997.

Pat was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek. She was a member of the St. Ann's Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Osage County Historical Society. She enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross and at Immaculate Conception school and church.

Survivors include, four sons; Maurice (Jean) Muenks of Taos, Randolph (Christy)Muenks, Gregory (Joan) Muenks and Joel (Diane) Muenks all of Loose Creek; one daughter Barbara McKinzie of California; one brother John (Pat) Oidtman, four sisters, Mary Lee Kliethermes, Jacquiline (Harold) Muenks, Jean (Richard)Porting and Martha (Roy) Mitchell; one brother in law Albert Haslag. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; Matthew, Christopher, Michele McKinzie and Laura Baepler, Theresa Prenger, Carrie and Paul Muenks, Sarah Veile, Rachel, Rebecca and Adam Muenks, Amanda, Ryan and Emily Muenks, Andrew, Ashley and Noah Muenks and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sr. Deborah Muenks, S.S.N.D., a sister Genrose Haslag, a son-in-law Stephen McKinzie and a brother-in-law Virgil Kliethermes.

Visitation will be 4:00pm-8:00pm Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Monday, August 4, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church with Fr. Charles Pardee as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.

In Lieu of Flowers memorial are suggested to the Carmelite Monastery in Jefferson City or to the School Sisters of Notre Dame in St Louis, Mo.
