Opal L. Rudroff

Opal Lee Rudroff, age 81 of Linn, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at her residence.

Opal was born October 22, 1940, in Monette, AR, a daughter to the late Ophus and Leonia (Albright) Stewart.

Opal attended school in Detroit, MI. 

On September 19, 1991, she was united in marriage to Virgil H. Rudroff in Chamois.  He preceded her in death on July 25, 2017.

Opal worked as a CNA at Charles Still Hospital in Jefferson City until she retired in 1979.

Opal was a very active member at Linn Family Worship Center in Linn. She enjoyed hosting weekly bible study services at her home.

She enjoyed cooking, especially her chicken and dumplings. Opal loved playing Rummy and Pennies with her grandchildren and was quite the jokester who always enjoyed making people laugh.  She was a selfless person who would do anything for anyone and always had a way of making you feel special. Opal loved all animals but especially her dog, Sadie.

Opal is survived by: one son, Lindell Nichols and his wife Ellen of Chamois; one daughter, Denise Nolte and her husband Mike of Chamois; eleven grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren with one on the way.

In addition to her parents and husband of 26 years, she was preceded in death by one son, Tony Nichols and a daughter, Carrie Nichols.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Linn Family Worship Center in Linn.  Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Matt Lee officiating.  Interment will be held at Chamois City Cemetery.
