Myrtle L. Mantle

Myrtle L. Mantle age 96 of rural Linn, MO died May 3, 2008 at the Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Center in Linn. Born June 15, 1911 a daughter of Benona and Grace Pinet Mantle on the family farm where she continued to live throughout her life. She was a 1932 graduate of Linn High School. Her life was lived in simplicity. She loved the family farm, animals, gardening—especially flowers, crocheting, quilting and her family. She was a devout Christian throughout her life. She worked for 35 years for Dr. William McKnelly at the Linn facility until his retirement.

Myrtle is survived by her loving sister, Hallie Mantle of Linn and two nieces, Judy Mantle and Jennifer Mantle both of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Arnold Mantle.

She will be missed by her many friends and family for her spunk and independent spirit.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 6, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Morton Chapel with Minister Eric Braman officiating.

Interment will follow at the Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery in Linn.
