Mildred Groves, age 89 of Sedalia formerly of Linn, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Rest Haven Convalescent and Retirement Center in Sedalia.
Mildred was born on August 21, 1926, in Bonnots Mill, a daughter to the late Walter and Retta (Ball) Groves.
Mildred was a 1943 graduate of Bonnots Mill High School.
Mildred was employed for over 30 years at Mid Continental Surgical Supply Company in Tulsa, OK. She retired in 1986.
Mildred moved to Linn in 2003 and attended St. John's United Methodist Church until she moved to Sedalia in December of 2012.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing word search puzzles.
Mildred is survived by: an aunt, Anna Belle Ball-Lietzow of Sedalia, along with several cousins.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Memorial Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Floyd Gudde officiating. Inurnment will be in the Verdot Cemetery in Bonnots Mill.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Crossroads Hospice or Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City in honor of Owen Merritt, 5960 Dearborn Street Number One, Mission, Kansas, 66202.
