Melissa G. Clark, age 50, of Jefferson City, passed away Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011, at the Pin Oak Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling.
Melissa was born September 20, 1960, in Hoisington, KS, a daughter to the late William "Bill" Meljo and Wilma (Willson) Meljo. She survives of Hoisington.
She was a 1978 graduate of Hoisington High School and she received her registered nurses degree from Barton College in Great Bend, KS.
Melissa was employed at Capital Regional Medical Center as a pediatric nurse.
Melissa attended Pin Oak Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, crafts, sewing, and trips to the casino. She was also a foster parent and did mission work overseas as a nurse.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by: twin sons, Larry Clark of Concordia, KS, and William and his wife Jennifer Clark of Hoisington, KS presently stationed with the Army in Killeen, TX; two daughters, Amanda Clark of Longview, WA, and Andrea Clark of Hoisington, KS; one sister, Melinda Meljo of Springfield, MO; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Pin Oak Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling with Rev. Glen Duncan officiating.
A Celebration of Melissa's life will also be held at 11:00am Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the VFW Hall in Hoisington, KS.
