Mary Ethel Thornton

Mary Ethel Thornton, age 94 of Linn, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Linn.

Mary was born November 25, 1924, in Detroit, MI, a daughter to the late William and Mary Thornton.

Mary attended high school in Detroit and later worked for several years as a seamstress for a dress shop.

Mary was a member of the Pin Oak Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a sister Sadie Thornton.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Morton Chapel in Linn. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Glen Duncan officiating.
