Mary G. Larivee

Mary G. Larivee, age 95 of Linn, Mo passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at St Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

She was born June 15, 1913, a daughter of the late Joseph and Phoebe (Mederos) Amaral in Rehobeth, MA.

She attended school in Warren, RI. On January 25, 1946 Mary was united in marriage to Obeldard Larivee in Warren, RI. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1986.

During her years living in Warren, Mary worked in a handkerchief shop, as a spinner in a cotton mill and for the Kleistone Rubber Plant in addition to being a homemaker.

In 1981 she and her husband moved to Linn. Mary was an accomplished artist and painter. She was a member of St George Church, St. Ann's Sodality and the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post 4756.

Survivors include one son, Robert J. and his wife Gloria Larivee of Cape Girardeau; Mary's twin sister, Angelina Larivee of Warren, RI; three grandchildren, Todd Larivee, Jodie Hodson and April McClintock; five great grandchildren, Christopher and Katherine Larivee and Madison, Sydney and Rylee McClintock, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be 11:00 am-12:45 pm Monday, April 13, 2009 at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm Monday, April 13, 2009 at St. George Church in Linn with Fr. I.C. Medina as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in St George Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Linn Senior Nutrition Center.
