Mary Ann Gove

Mary Ann Gove, age 88, of Linn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Westphalia Hills in Westphalia.

Mary Ann was born on February 10, 1936, in Osage County, a daughter to the late Frank and Cecilia (Samson) Branson.

Mary Ann was a 1954 graduate of Linn High School

On July 7, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ralph Gove in Linn.  Ralph survives at their home.

Mary Ann was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge.

Mary Ann enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, canning, camping, fishing, and talking on the phone.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 67 years, Mary Ann is survived by her two sons, Howard (Kathy) Gove of Linn and Arnold (Valerie Cox) Gove of Lake Ozark; three grandchildren, Stacie (Justin) Ortmeyer, Kellie (Joey) Stroupe and Tyler Gove; four great grandchildren, Pyrce and Sabina Ortmeyer and Hendrix and Joplin Stroupe; one brother, Wilfred Branson of Varshall; three sisters, Shirley Bonnot of Loose Creek, Fern (Walter) Hake of Holts Summit, and Bonnie (Rob) Wagner of Westphalia; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.  

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Drusch.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Morton Chapel in Linn with Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be held in the Linn Public Cemetery.  

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Solid Rock Baptist Church in Judge.
