Martha Elnora Hostetler

Martha Elnora Hostetler, age 85, of Linn, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at her residence.

Martha was born February 20, 1939, in LaGrange County, Indiana, a daughter to the late Daniel and Elnora Yoder.

On October 23, 1958, she was united in marriage to Samuel H. Hostetler in Topeka, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2014.

Martha moved to Florida in 1995 where she worked at a fruit stand for seven years and did care giving. 

Martha enjoyed cooking, baking, writing poetry and reading and wrote a book about her life. 

Martha is survived by: seven children, Danny Hostetler and his wife Verna of Linn, David Hostetler and his wife Joy of Jeromesville, OH, Duane Hostetler and his wife Anna Mae of Malta, OH, Darlene Miller and her husband, Ervin of Linn, Daryl Hostetler and his wife Ruth Ann of Linn, Delbert Hostetler of Sarasota, FL, and Donnie Hostetler of Jefferson City; 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and spouse of 55 years, Martha was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Yoder and six sisters, Verna, Amanda, Katie, Anna Mae, Wilma and Orpha and a daughter-in-law, Esther. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Linn First Church near Linn.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Linn First Church with her sons, Dan and David Hostetler officiating. Interment will be in the Mint Hill Church Cemetery.
