Marianne Elizabeth Matheis

Marianne Elizabeth Matheis, age 79, of Linn, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at her residence.  

Marianne was born on August 5, 1944, in Chicago, Il., a daughter to the late Joseph and Antoinette (Baudek) Wuchte.

Marianne was a high school graduate and a member of St. Paul’s Church in Chicago.

Marianne enjoyed watching old movies and playing card games.  Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.   

Marianne is survived by her three children, Charles (Lisa) Gregory of Lodi, WI., Tina (Dominic) Potenza of Plainfield, Il., and Mary (Charles) Howard of Linn; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Norbert Matheis, Marianne was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Gregory and two brothers, Richard Wuchte and Joseph Wuchte, Jr. 

Private family service will be held at a later date.
