Margaret L. Muenks

Margaret Louise Muenks age 93 of Loose Creek passed away Sunday, December 6, 2009 at the Autumn Meadows Skilled Care Facility in Linn.

Margaret was born August 20, 1916 in Schell City, Mo a daughter to the late Theodore and Antonia (Maus) Kirsch, Sr.

On October 25, 1938 she was united in marriage to Vincent W. Muenks in Loose Creek. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1986.

Margaret was a homemaker and prior to her marriage to Vincent she had been employed by the Tweedes Shoe Factory in Jefferson City.

Margaret was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek, the Ladies Sodality, the Catholic Knights of America as well as the Loose Creek Community Club. Margaret's hobbies included embroidery, quilting, dominoes and playing cards.

Survivors include five sons; Charles and his wife Patricia Muenks of St. Louis, Richard and his wife Angie Muenks, Theodore and his wife Joyce Muenks, Larry and his wife Rita Muenks all of Bonnots Mill and Gary and his wife Elizabeth Muenks of Linn, two daughters; Mary Brandt and her husband Marty and Shirley Hasenbeck and her husband Ted both of Linn, one daughter-in-law, Janice Muenks Backes of Loose Creek, one brother; William "Billy" Kirsch of Linn, four sisters; Stella Salisbury of the state of Oklahoma, Beulah Dudenhoeffer of Jefferson City, Eva "Maggie" Kliethermes of Taos and Martha Jaegers and her husband Bud of Linn, 19 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by one son; Nicholas Muenks, three grandchildren, six brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be 4:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Morton Chapel in Linn where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with Fr. Thomas Seifner as the Celebrant.
Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery.
