Margaret "Margie" Ann Mebruer

Margaret "Margie" A. Mebruer, age 71 of Rich Fountain, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, at SSM Health St. Mary's in Jefferson City.

Margie was born on January 28, 1945, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Steve A. and Gertrude (Brendel) Bexten.

Margie attended Fatima High School.

On February 4, 1961, she was united in marriage to Gerhard "Jerry" Mebruer, Jr. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Westphalia. He survives of the home.

Margie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain and the St. Ann's Sodality.

She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, making arts and crafts, gardening and canning, and making and decorating cakes and cookies for her family and friends. Margie also enjoyed flowers, and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels that would feed in her yard. However, her greatest love was the time spent with her family.

In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by: five sons, Dale Mebruer and his wife Debbie of Rich Fountain, Denis (Angie Schatz) Mebruer of Linn, Eric Mebruer and his wife Roxie of Rich Fountain, Andy Mebruer and his wife Cassandra of Chamois, and Kurt "Kephen" Mebruer of Linn; one daughter, Karen Kliethermes and her husband Kenny of Loose Creek; one brother, Eddie Bexten and his wife Marilyn of Westphalia; two sisters, Rose Sonderman and her husband Mike of Bridgeton, and Carole Steinbeck of Jefferson City; her mother-in-law, Lena Mebruer of Linn; 12 grandchildren, Kody (Shelby) Kliethermes, Brandon (Samantha) Mebruer, Kaitlyn (Josh) Sowerwine, Brittany Mebruer, Bryce (FiancAC.e Brittany Neuner) Mebruer, Kasey (FiancAC. Jason Horn) Kliethermes, Brooklyn (Thad Rehmert) Mebruer, Darrien Mebruer, Jeffrey Mebruer, Cheyenne Mebruer, Aiden Mebruer, and Braylee Mebruer; two great grandchildren, Royce Mebruer and Charlotte Mebruer, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Stephen H. Bexten.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Fr. James Finder as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Sacred Heart Endowment Fund.
