Margaret Ann Barker, age 69 of Linn, MO passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Autumn Meadows in Linn.
She was born on November 2, 1938 in Linn to the late Floyd and Mayme (Helmig) Branson. She graduated from Linn High School.
On March 25, 1958, Margaret was united in marriage to Bill Barker in Judge. He survives of the home.
Margaret owned and operated Cedar Grove CafAC. near Linn during the 1970's. After that she operated the Commercial Hotel Restaurant then for the next 16 years she owned and operated Margaret's Diner in Linn.
Margaret enjoyed sewing, genealogy, crocheting and baking. She was a lifelong member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Additional survivors also include: two sons, Tracy and his wife, Denise Barker of Rowlett, TX and Kevin Barker of Linn; one brother David Floyd and his wife Mary Branson of Tucson, AZ; three sisters Geneva Mae and her husband Cleo Owens of Linn, Betty Lue Branson and Anna Mae Branson both of Tucson, AZ; four grandchildren Bryan Ross Barker and Courtney Ann Barker both of Linn and Shelby Carissa Barker and Leslie Barker of Rowlett, TX. Also surviving is a special friend of the family, Stephanie Helmig along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Catherine Wall.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2008 at Morton Chapel with Minister Eric Braman officiating. Interment will follow in the College Hill Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
