Lula Mae Owens

Lula Mae Owens, age 87 of Linn, Mo passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at St Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

She was born June 22, 1921 in the state of Texas to the late Forest and Appelonia (Cruise) Vincent. She attended school in Belle. She retired from Standard Machine in St Louis after working there for several years.

On October 21, 1939 she was united in marriage to Richard F. Owens in Linn. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2003.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her grandchildren lovingly refered to her as Grandma Lu.

Survivors include many grandchildren, great grand children and great- great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Anthony and one sister.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, April 17, 2009 at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Funeral Services will be at 11am Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Morton Chapel with Rev. Lyle Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Useful Cemetery.
