Lucille Kraus

Lucille Kraus, age 94, of Loose Creek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at General Baptist Nursing Home in Linn.

Lucille was born on November 30, 1925, in Loose Creek, a daughter to the late Theodore and Amelia (Muenks) Schaefer.

Lucille was a 1943 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Loose Creek.

On June 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to Raymond J. Kraus at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.  Raymond preceded her in death on January 29, 2013.

Lucille worked for Tweedy Shoe factory in Jefferson City for 5 years and then started raising her family.

Lucille was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.

Lucille enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cooking and gardening. 

Lucille is survived by three sons, Stanley Kraus and his wife Becky of Loose Creek, Charles Kraus and his wife Kathy of Springfield, and James Kraus and his wife Cindy of Wardsville; two daughters, Melba Dudenhoeffer and her husband Francis, Jr. of Linn, and Nancy Schaefer and her husband Gene of Loose Creek; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren, one sister, Catherine Kever of Loose Creek, along with many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents and husband of 66 years, Lucille was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Schaefer.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Anthony “Tony” R. Rinaldo as the Celebrant.  Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.
