Louise Dell Bonnot, age 92, of Linn, passed into eternal life on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Jefferson City Manor.
Louise was born on June 29, 1931, in Linn, a daughter to the late Gus and Mattie (Wilson) Mantle.
She was a 1949 graduate of Linn High School.
On October 11, 1950, she was united in marriage to Joseph W. Bonnot at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. He preceded her in dead on April 10, 1998. They had a wonderful 48 years of marriage together.
Louise loved working as a waitress at Green Gables Restaurant in Linn before becoming employed at Scholastic on March 5, 1968, where she worked for over 25 years.
She loved spending time with her family, such as holiday gatherings, Sunday dinners, family trips, and church picnics. Louise enjoyed visiting neighbors on her daily walks. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
The last twelve months she was a resident at Jefferson City Manor where she was loved and cared for by the staff and residents.
Louise is survived by two sons, Larry R. (Janet) Bonnot of Jefferson City and Thomas G. (Debbie) Bonnot of Littleton, CO; three grandchildren, Shannon (Marc) Holmes of Jefferson City, Craig (Mindy) Bonnot of Loveland, CO, and Brian (Sara) Bonnot of Littleton, CO; four great grandchildren, Drew and Nolan Holmes of Jefferson City and Joseph and Julia Bonnot of Littleton, CO; her best friend and sister, Marjorie (Carl) Rice of Jefferson City; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and spouse, Louise was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Mantle and her longtime friend and companion, Weldon “Bud” Frey.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Brad Berhorst as the Celebrant. Interment will be in St. George Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. George School Foundation or Michael J. Fox Foundation for the cure Parkinson’s Disease.
