Linda Sue Starmer

Linda Sue Starmer, age 46 of Vienna passed away Monday, October 26, 2009.

Linda was born October 10, 1963 in St. Louis, MO a daughter to William and Mary (Rohlfing) Wakeland. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives of Vienna.

She was a graduate of Linn High School and had worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue as a data entry clerk.

On June 28, 1986 she was united in marriage to Doug Starmer in Linn. He preceded her in death in 2000.

Linda was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, a NASCAR fan especially of Dale Earnhardt. She also enjoyed listening to music.

In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by: one son, Christopher Shawn Starmer of Freeburg; two brothers, Richard and his wife Bonnie Wakeland of Taos and Jim Wakeland of Vienna; two sisters, Beth Mertens and her husband John of Wardsville and Kathy Gove and her husband Howard of Linn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Phillips and a great nephew, Jason Parker Wakeland.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m.
