Linda Troesser Green

Linda Troesser Green, age 71, of California formerly of Linn, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at her residence.

She was born February 27, 1951, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Paul and Thelma (Hicks) Schaefer.

On February 12, 2016, she was united in marriage to Larry Green at Faith Crossing Church in California. He survives at their home.

Linda was a beautiful soul that loved life and spending time with family, Grammy was her favorite title.  Linda would often play cards with family and friends and boy did she love to play preference and hit the slots!  Her potato salad was the best around and was always plentiful at gatherings.  Linda enjoyed music, especially the piano which she played from an early age.  She loved gardening and the clean eating it accompanies.  She was excellent at sewing!  She made many beautiful outfits and dresses for her children while they were growing up. Linda loved to travel and one of her favorite trips was a tour around the coast of Florida including a favorite spot in the Keys.

For many years, Linda worked as the office manager for a local doctor’s office.  Balancing books and running a 10-key calculator was her happy place at work.  She was a member of the St. George Catholic Church.

Her children describe her as: fiercely independent, vivacious, loving, devoted, domesticated, determined, tenacious, funny, and faithful.

Linda is survived by her husband, Larry Green; her children and their spouses, Tanya Monnig (Lonnie) of Hermann, Angie Klebba (Roy) of Linn, Billy Troesser (Alicia) of Linn, and Tom Troesser (Melissa) of Westphalia; her stepchildren, Jeff Green (Sara) and Joseph Green (Melissa) both of California.  She has eight vibrant and wonderful grandchildren that were the light of her life!  Maghan and Lindsey Monnig, Ben and Abby Klebba, Lydia Troesser, and Collin, Haley and Emily Green.  Donna Bonnot is a forever friend with whom she shared many adventures.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Schaefer and a stepson, Larry G. Green.
