Larry Cammack Larsen, age 78 of Frankenstein, passed away Monday, August 3, 2020, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton.
Larry was born March 13, 1942, in Webb City, a son to the late Forrest Cammack and Melba (Case) Larsen and his stepfather, William “Bill” Larsen.
He was a 1960 graduate of La Habra High School in La Habra, CA.
On May 18, 1963, he was united in holy matrimony to Roseann Shook at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pomona, CA. She survives at their peaceful home.
Larry was employed for ten years with Vons and Shopping Bags grocery stores in California. For 36 years he worked in food distribution, service and sales retiring in 2008.
Larry was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein, Bonnots Mill Knights of Columbus, and he was a 4th Degree member of Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed card games, reading, watching movies, and bird watching. Larry always wanted to help those in need and was an avid blood and platelet donor. Pro-life was very important to Larry and Roseann spending many hours praying outside local abortion clinics.
In addition to his loving spouse of 57 years, Larry is survived by: four sons: Mark Larsen and his wife Laurie of Clinton, Derrick Larsen and his wife Charine of Warsaw, Troy Cammack of Frankenstein, and Brent Larsen and his wife Amanda of New Bloomfield; one daughter, Sarah Cho and her husband Daniel of Calabasas, CA; twelve grandchildren, Andrew, Candace, Mark, Evan, Ashley, Austin, Dallas, Brandie, Gabrielle, Geneva, Daegen, and Kaylie; three great grandchildren, Xander, Maddox, and Daxton; one brother, Bill (Joan) Larsen of Cypress, CA; two sisters, Mary Narrod of Grand Junction, CO. and Catherine Menor of Phoenix, Az; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. John Schmitz as the celebrant. Interment will be in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery.
