Larry Helmig

Larry Helmig age 66 of Jefferson City passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at St Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

Larry was born September 14, 1943 at Judge, a son to the late George and Blanch (Carwile) Helmig.

Larry graduated from Linn High School. He was employed with the Missouri Department of Corrections until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his dog Buddy, who was his constant companion.

Larry is survived by one daughter; Elizabeth Williams and her husband Amos of Greenwood, Ark, three brothers; Clifford Helmig of Linn, Henry Helmig of Centertown and Ted Helmig of Eldon, two sisters Bernece Kloeppel of Mexico and Delorce Sallin of Linn as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Larry was preceded in death by two sisters.

Visitation will be 1pm-3pm Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral services will follow at 3pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at the Lane Cemetery.
