Kenneth J. "Kenny" Mantle, age 85 of Loose Creek, MO passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 at his residence after a short illness.
He was born on March 6, 1923 in Vosholl, MO to the late Charles and Anna (Sieg) Mantle.
Kenny attended school in Linn and was a World War II Army Veteran. He operated the Hudson Oil Company in Mexico, Mo. for over 40 years before retiring in 1986.
On February 17, 1971 he was united in marriage to Shirley Robinson in Linn. She survives of the home in Loose Creek.
Kenny enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He was a member of the Community Christian Church in Linn and a member of Linn Masonic Lodge No. 326 AF & AM.
In addition to his wife, Kenny is survived by: two sons, Kenneth W. and his wife Linda Mantle of Callao, Mo., and Roger D. and his wife Frances Mantle of Mexico, Mo; one daughter, Terry Fairchild of Loose Creek; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Morton Chapel in Linn, Mo. with a Masonic Service to be held at 10:30 a.m.
Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dan Hogan officiating. Interment will be at the RLDS Vosholl Church Cemetery.
