Katherine Wilkin, age 71, of Linn, formerly of Brumley, passed away on Tuesday, March 05, 2024, at her residence with family.
Katherine was born on August 27, 1952, in Soap Lake, Washington, a daughter to the late Samuel “Shorty” and Ruth (Beal) Ash.
Katherine was a 1970 graduate of School of the Osage High School.
On April 29, 1978, she was united in marriage to Joseph Wilkin in Montreal. Joseph survives at their residence.
Katherine was employed at Fasco in Eldon for several years, until the factory closed. She then went back to school and was a 2010 graduate of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in St. Louis.
Katherine enjoyed camping, fishing, quilting, and baking, especially her homemade bread. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband of 45 years, she is survived by her five children, Christopher “Chuck” Wilkin of Lebanon, Chancie Jackson of Brumley, Andrea Blackburn of Linn, Ann Marie Wilkin of Lake Ozark, and Mary Wilkin of Lake Ozark; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Ash of Tuscumbia, Frank Ash of Hillsboro, Texas; one sister, Ellen Novicky of Lebanon; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by one grandson, and one brother, Steven Ash.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Rodden Church of Christ near Brumley with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Weston Ash officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
