Karen Marie Carnes, age 72, of Chamois, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Stonebridge of Hermann.
Karen was born January 24, 1951, in Chamois, to the late Adam and Alice (Schaeperclaus) Carnes.
Karen attended school in Chamois and later worked for Sporlan Valve (now Parker Hannifin) in Washington for many years.
Karen enjoyed “wine time” with family, crafting, and home decorating. Karen was the family historian and enjoyed all things antique, including touring old homes and looking at historic architecture. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her family.
Karen is survived by one son, Danny Davis and his wife Tori of Chamois, one daughter, Leah Davis of Rockport, MA.; two brothers, Wesley Carnes and his wife Clovice of Enterprise, AL., and Theron Carnes of Chamois, one sister, Linda Buehrlen and her husband Junior of Belle; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by two brothers, Martin and Rodney Carnes and one sister Marlene Lackman.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Deer Creek Church in Chamois with a Celebration of Karen’s life will beginning at Noon with Chaplin Bart Larson officiating. Interment will be in the Deer Creek Cemetery.
