June Eleanor Mayer

June E. Mayer, Age 88, of Linn, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at her residence.

June was born, June 1, 1925, in St Louis, a daughter to the late Calvin and Mamie (Carver) Warren.

On January 24, 1942, she was united in marriage to Gustave "Gus" Mayer, Jr. in St. Louis. He survives at the home.

June was of the Catholic faith and was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed cooking, ironing and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, June is survived by: four sons, James and his wife Linda Mayer of Middletown, Timothy and his wife Deborah Mayer of St. Peters, Steve Mayer and his life partner David Knese of High Ridge and Mark Mayer and his companion Cecilia ""Cricket"" Fernandez both of Linn; two brothers, Thomas Warren of Ft. Smith, AR, and Michael Warren of St Louis; two sisters, Mildred and her husband Bobby Nesmeyer of St Charles and Peggy and her husband John Noll of St. Louis; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by: one brother, Calvin Warren and two sisters, Mary Jane Raulston and Dorothy Johnson.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Morton Chapel in Linn. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Solid Rock Cemetery in Judge.
