Joseph “Joe” Wieberg, 62, of Westphalia, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Capitol Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Joe was born on February 26, 1962, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Gilbert and Corona (Eisterhold) Wieberg.

Joe was a 1980 graduate of Fatima High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

Joe was employed as a lineman with Three Rivers Electric in Linn. After his time with Three Rivers, he became part owner and later manager of Thermocore of Missouri.

Joe enjoyed golfing, gambling, fishing, playing cards, and just spending time with his family and friends. He was known for greeting you with a big smile, a hug and his booming voice. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help no matter how big or small the project was. Joe was always the life of the party who will be greatly missed. 

Joe is survived by seven siblings, Debbie Meyer of Branson, Sharon Odom of Jefferson City, Mary (Jim) Mealer of Vienna, Michelle (Curt) Kliethermes of Linn, Brian Wieberg of Sedalia, Linda (Bryan) Wyss of Vienna and Hilda Wieberg of Fayetteville, Ark. a brother-in-law, Gerard Brockmeyer of St. Louis; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Wieberg, a sister, Brenda Brockmeyer and a nephew, Dalton Kempker.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with a funeral service and full military honors immediately following at 5:00 p.m. with Deacon Bob Schowengerdt officiating. A Celebration of Joe’s Life will continue with a dinner at the Westphalia Lions Club.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
