Jon Paul Scheulen

Jon Paul "J.P." Scheulen, age 22, of Rich Fountain, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011, driving the tractor that he loved.

Jon Paul was born October 25, 1988, in Jefferson City, a son to Paul A. and Shirley Sue (Matthews) Scheulen. They survive of Rich Fountain.

Jon Paul was a 2007 graduate of Fatima High School and was employed at MFA Farmers 280 Fertilizer in Freeburg where he worked as a welder and a fertilizer tender.

Jon Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had been a volunteer Fireman for Freeburg and Rich Fountain.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tractor pulls involving his Allis Chalmers.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by: one brother, Nathan and his wife Sarah Martinez of the State of Hawaii; two sisters, Jennifer Hueste, and her husband Eric of Linn, and Sarah Oliver and her husband Michael of El Dorado, KS; paternal grandparents, Harold and Marie Scheulen of Rich Fountain; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jon Paul was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Ethel Matthews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rich Fountain with Fr. Philip Niekamp as the Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery.
