Jewell Mae Tschappler

Jewell Mae Tschappler age 82 of Chesterfield, Mo formally of Hope, Mo passed away Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Surrey Place Nursing Home in Chesterfield.

Jewell was born March 21, 1926 in Hope, Mo a daughter of the late Charles W. and Myrtle Ivy (Duncan) Kemper. On December 22, 1943 she was united in marriage to Ted Tschappler in Linn. He preceded her in death on September 8, 2004.

Jewell lived in the St. Louis area for 40 years. She was an employee of the Federal Government, retiring after 25 years with the Army Records Center in St. Louis. In 1983 she moved back to Hope, Mo. She was a member of the Oklahoma Church of Christ and a long time member of the Hope Community Club. She returned to St. Louis in February 2006.

Jewell is survived by one daughter, Patricia Ann and her husband Ed Goldstein of Chesterfield, Mo, one granddaughter, Kim Denise and her husband Steven Graber of St. Louis and one great grandson, Joel David Graber of St. Louis. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Olline Hemeyer and one nephew, Donnell Hemeyer.

Visitation will be 1:00pm-2:00pm Sunday, February 1, 2009 at the Oklahoma Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm in the church with Mark Gregor officiating. Interment will follow in the Oklahoma Church Cemetery.
