Jerry Budnik

Jerry Budnik, age 72 of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Jerry was born April 25, 1949, in Morrison, a son to the late Herbert and Verda (White) Budnik.

He attended school at Osage R1 in Chamois.

On June 1, 1968, he was united in marriage to Linda Thuli at Assumption Catholic Church in Morrison. She survives at their home.

Jerry was employed at Coy Trucking Company, Great Central Lumber, and retired from the Missouri Department of Transportation as a member of the sign and striping crew. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. After his retirement, he purchased S&D Septic Service operating in the Jefferson City and Columbia area.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding 4-wheelers, and spending time on the farm putting in food plots and operating his tractors. He also enjoyed watching television especially Walker Texas Ranger and the Three Stooges. Jerry loved spending time with his family and sharing a game of Aggravation or poker.

In addition to his spouse of 53 years, he is survived by: one daughter, Sherry Scheuler and her husband Aaron of Mary’s Home; one son, Daniel Budnik and his wife Lisa of Eugene; one sister, Sandra Gruebbeling of Morrison; one brother, Kenneth Budnik and his wife Debbie of Owensville; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren with one on the way; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Budnik.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Friday, December 10, 2021, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Kuebler officiating. Interment will follow in the Ferguson Cemetery near Chamois.
