Jerry Bellsmith, Jr.

Jerry Bellsmith, Jr., age 78, of Linn, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at his residence.

Jerry was born on April 26, 1945, in San Diego, California, a son to the late Jerry Bellsmith, Sr. and Geneva (Little) Bellsmith.

Jerry was a graduate of Santa Ana Valley High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

On June 11, 1967, he was united in marriage to Charlotte Kumler at Calvery Lutheran Church in Santa Ana, California.  Charlotte survives at their home. 

Jerry was employed as the assitant director of Senior programs for Orange County in California. 

Jerry loved his retirement and hammock.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.   

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Jerry is survived by his two children, Christopher Bellsmith and his partner Mimi Roy of Linn and Jeannie Bellsmith and her husband Christopher Matano of Danville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jacob Matano, Cassidy Matano and Callie Bellsmith; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.    

Per Jerry’s wishes no services will be held. 

In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Osage County Anti-Drug Community Action Team or Osage Caring Projects.
