Jeanette Marie Samson-Balliz

Jeanette Marie (Samson) Balliz, age 50 of Linn, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.

Jeanette was born July 1, 1972, in Jefferson City, a daughter to Ralph and Mary (Baumann) Samson. They survive of Linn.

Jeanette was a 1990 graduate of Linn High School.  She received her undergraduate degree from Central Missouri State and later her master’s degrees from the University of Phoenix and Columbia College. 

On July 28, 2016, she was united in marriage to Karim Balliz in Morocco.  He survives. 

She had been employed at Jefferson City Autoplex before moving to Walnut Creek, CA where she was employed as the controller of the Mercedes Benz dealership until her illness prevented her from working. 

Jeanette was a member of St. George Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards, painting, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents and spouse, Jeanette is survived by: one brother, John Samson and his wife Janice of Taos; one sister, Monica Duncan and her husband James of Iberia; 5 nieces and nephews, Brooke (Lakota) Peppel, Bryson Samson, Hunter (Kassidy) Duncan, Jacy Duncan and Kyle Duncan; and her mother-in-law, Fatima Oujja of Sale City, Morocco along with many friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Colin Franklin as the Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. George Parish Cemetery.
