James "Jim" Leo Rotter

James “Jim” L. Rotter, age 81 of Loose Creek, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at Oak Tree Villas in Jefferson City.

Jim was born February 20, 1942, in Bonnots Mill, a son to the late Leo and Mary Catherine (Kirsch) Rotter.

Jim was a 1960 graduate of Fatima High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army. 

On July 26, 1969, he was united in marriage to Karen Holt in Bonnots Mill.  She survives of the home.

Jim was employed as a lineman for Three Rivers Electric Coop for 40 years retiring in 2006.

He had two hobbies, keeping his cars clean and working. 

In addition to his spouse of 53 years, Jim is survived by: one son, Lee Rotter of Hartsburg; three sisters, Ruth Bowen and her husband John of Bonnots Mill, Helen Libbert and her husband Larry of Bonnots Mill, and Sharon Holterman of Freeburg; one grandchild, Athena Decker; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Catherine and Arthur Porting; and a brother-in-law, Richard Holterman

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, on Saturday, April1, 2023, at Morton Chapel in Linn.  Funeral Services will follow at Noon with interment in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
