Helen M. Mantle, age 87, of Linn, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Linn Living and Rehab.
Helen was born July 17, 1929, in Folk, Missouri, a daughter to the late Leo and Anna (Hertzing) Bruemmer.
Helen attended school in Linn.
On May 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to Marvin Lee Mantle at St. George Church in Linn. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1972.
In addition to being a homemaker, Helen worked at Linn Technical College as the Cafeteria Supervisor for many years.
Helen was a member of St. George Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Sodality.
She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Helen is survived by: one son, Dean Mantle and his wife Karla of Jefferson City; two daughters, Rhonda Peters of Linn and Gail Eisterhold and her husband Dennis of Linn; one brother, Anthony “Tony” Bruemmer and his wife Carolyn of Jefferson City; one sister, Esther Haslag of Loose Creek; a sister-in-law, Audrey Bruemmer of Linn; seven grandchildren, Darren (Amanda) Peters, Tara (Shane) Graupman, Megan Eisterhold, Tiffany (Jon Keenan) Peters, Brittany (Matt) Pointer, Cameron (Ellie Schaefer) Eisterhold, and Jordan Mantle; five great grandchildren, Jeremy “JJ” Quehl, Olivia Peters, Alleigh Graupman, Everett Peters, and Londyn Pointer and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her spouse, Helen was preceded in death by: her brother, Larry Bruemmer; her sister, Matilda Jaegers; a son-in-law, Charles “Charlie” Peters; and a grandson, Darrell Peters.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Morton Chapel in Linn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Fr. Daniel Merz as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Linn Public Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
